About ASEAN
An overview of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) comprises ten countries: Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Strategically located between China and India, ASEAN is a highly dynamic economic region with a population nearing 600 million. Its GDP surged from USD 700 billion to USD 2.5 trillion between 2003 and 2015. European companies invest over USD 20 billion annually. With the official launch of the ASEAN Economic Community at the end of 2015, ASEAN economies are becoming increasingly integrated.
